JOSHUA BUTLER graduated Summa Cum Laude from USC Film School in 1995 having written and directed the award-winning short WILL WORK FOR FOOD. By 2003 he had directed 3 series for USA Network/SyFy Channel and 4 feature-length films: PRANCER RETURNS produced by Raffaella De Laurentiis (winning 12 awards including Best Family Movie at the Young Artist Awards); In addition to the SyFy Channel, Joshua has executive-produced original movies for ESPN and MTV, as well as the upcoming documentary CARE and feature film EVEN LAMBS HAVE TEETH. Joshua has directed multiple episodes of the CW shows THE ORIGINALS, THE SECRET CIRCLE, RINGER and NIKITA, as well as RAVENSWOOD and PRETTY LITTLE LIARS for ABC Family. He also directed CRISIS for NBC, RECKLESS for CBS and 5 episodes of FOX's THE FOLLOWING starring Kevin Bacon. Most recently, Joshua directed an epic music video for Ryan Star entitled BULLET, cult series MATADOR for Robert Rodriguez and the El Rey Network, Random Bench-produced short film DOGHOUSE starring Michael Maize and Erin Daniels (premiering at the TCL Chinese Theatre as part of HollyShorts 2015), Joe Carnahan's NBC thriller STATE OF AFFAIRS starring Katherine Heigl, the Scenarios and his 11th episode of the hit show THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. Currently, Joshua is directing a music video starring Joshua Jackson for hot Canadian band MENEW, SyFy Channel's adaptation of best-selling books THE MAGICIANS, and Kurtzman/Orci's CBS show LIMITLESS produced by and starring Bradley Cooper. He is also working hard on a feature film he is writing and directing in the spring of 2016. Joshua was just profiled by MTV News, featured in The Vancouver Sun and been named a Shorty Awards finalist as "Best Director in Social Media”.
